He is a courtroom litigator with 19 years experience who handles personal injury litigation, including automobile collisions, wrongful death, and premises liability. His criminal practice includes defending people accused of all manner of crimes, from violent crime to traffic tickets.
Below are the primary areas of practice that Rhodes serves, but if you have a different legal problem, call Rhodes to see if he can help you or refer you to someone who can.
If you find yourself injured from an accident at work, you most likely have recovery rights in workers’ compensation. Workers’ compensation applies regardless of who is at fault. This is a highly technical area of the law, and Rhodes is here to help. If the accident is serious enough to put you out of work for over a week or require a surgical consultation, it is serious enough to consult with a lawyer as well.
He is a frequent lecturer at S.C. Bar conferences and Continuing Legal Education programs on the topics of trial practice, evidence, and courtroom strategy. Rhodes is licensed to practice in all South Carolina State Courts and in the U.S. District. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston (2003) and the University of South Carolina School of Law (2007), where he received the Trial Clinic’s Professionalism Award. He served on the faculty of Keystone College, where he taught criminal justice, constitutional rights, and the history of policing practices.
